Learning Reflection Descriptive Text

Hello everyone, this time I will convey my reflection on learning descriptive text. Firstly i will tell you about the social function, text structure, lenguage features and lenguage component.

Social Function

The social function of descriptive text is to explain something in detail, which can be in the form of animals, inanimate objects, humans, etc.

Text Structure

1. Identification

In this section, is in the first paragraph, the purpose is to identify an object that you want to describe. Identification usually used to introduce to the readers the object that will be explained before we tell in more detail about the object in the next paragraph.

2. Description

In this section, is in the second paragraph and so on, contains the qualities inherent in something that you introduced to the reader in the first paragraph. understand about the topic being described.

Lenguage Features and Componentsh

The lenguage features and components of descriptive text consist of three:

1. Specific participant: it can be something which is not common and usually unique because it is the only one in the world.

2. The use Adjectives: To explain or describe objects, we can use adjectives or adjectives.

3. Simple Present Tense: Using the simple present tense in sentences that express activities or facts that happen in the present. This tense uses only one verb. Describe the facts about an object, and the functions of the simple present tense itself is to tell a fact or truth.

[He, She, It + Verb 1 (s/es)] and [I, you, they, we + Verb 1].

4. The use of Action Verbs: Using a verb that describes an action or activity in the subject of the sentence. Usually this type of verb is used when describing living objects. Examples of action verbs are run, walk, eat, etc.

5. Figurative Language: Using figurative language in the form of metaphors to give an image to the reader.

6. Noun (kata benda)

A noun is a word that represents a concrete or abstract thing, such as living creatures, places, actions, qualities, states of existence, and ideas.

Recommendation

The learning strategy provided was adequate, but the deadline was too short, making it difficult to follow and making our assignments less than optimal.
